QUOTE OF THE DAY
You are not going to worry yourself out of a problem.
– Eckhart Tolle
IDEA OF THE DAY
Worry.
Something that so many of us are naturally good at (myself included).
And yet….
Worrying…is exhausting. It can go in circles. It leads to dead ends. It braces one for something that may never happen. It doesn’t feel very good. It impacts our mental health and can affect others as well. Worry can compound over time, leading to even more worry. And ultimately- worry doesn’t solve anything.
So, what does?
Perhaps…
…taking a break and getting some fresh air…
…moving your body and getting the juices flowing again…
…taking action and DOING something, no matter how small the task…
….sharing your worries with a good friend over a cup of tea together…
…recognizing that this too shall pass, and letting go of the need for an answer for now…
Trying to solve a problem from a place of worry doesn’t work out very well. And if a solution IS found, it often takes a lot of brain power and energy to get there. So, for this week, when you are aware that you are in a space of worry- try something different, and notice how it feels.
I am rooting for you!
QUESTION OF THE DAY
How can I be a little easier on myself today?
