QUOTE OF THE DAY

What If Your Work Actually Lit You Up?

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
Howard Thurman

IDEA OF THE DAY

Most of my clients come to me with the same quiet fear:

What if this doesn’t work?

Why We Stay in Work That Doesn’t Fulfill Us

Some worry it’s too late to change careers.
Others feel stuck in roles that have never truly felt right.

Even when there’s burnout, stress, or a sense of misalignment… they stay.

Not because it feels good.
But because it feels familiar.

I know this pattern well. I spent years in a job that kept me boxed in, trying to logically convince myself to stay. Making the pros and cons lists. Telling myself, it could be worse.

And for a while, that logic worked.

Until it didn’t.

When Logic Isn’t Enough Anymore

We’re very good at justifying why we remain unhappy.

We tell ourselves:

  • I should be grateful
  • This is stable
  • Now isn’t the right time

And often, the mind wins.

But what if it could actually be better?

What if your next step didn’t require you to abandon logic—but instead, invited you to include something that’s been missing?

A Different Starting Point: Reconnect to What Brings You Alive

This is where my approach may feel a little counterintuitive.

We don’t start with your résumé.
We don’t start with your LinkedIn.

We start with you.

More specifically:

  • Joy
  • Creativity
  • Play

The parts of you that may have been pushed aside for years.

Because when those parts come back online, something shifts.

Clarity doesn’t come from forcing it—it emerges.

New ideas start to surface. Possibilities begin to open in ways that feel expansive instead of stressful.

What Alignment Actually Feels Like

When your work is aligned, it’s not just about what you do—it’s about how you feel while doing it.

There’s a sense of:

  • Energy instead of depletion
  • Meaning instead of obligation
  • Expression instead of restriction

It doesn’t mean every moment is perfect. But it does mean your values, actions, and energy are working together instead of against each other.

An Invitation

If something feels off in your career right now—if you’re more stressed than fulfilled, or quietly sensing that your path no longer fits—it may be time to explore a different direction.

One that brings:

  • Creativity back
  • A sense of fun
  • Even your slightly goofy, fully-you self

You don’t have to abandon responsibility to do this. You just have to be willing to include more of yourself in the process.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

What does alignment between your values and your daily work actually look like right now?

If You’re Ready to Explore What’s Next

This is the work I do with my clients—helping you reconnect with yourself so you can move toward a career that actually fits.

Not just on paper.
But in your real, everyday life.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.
