QUOTE OF THE DAY
“If you’re 37… Instead of regretting that you can’t wake up age 18 again, pretend to yourself that you’re 90 and you’ve woken up age 37 again, and that you get to magically, wonderfully have the next 50 years again.”

IDEA OF THE DAY
Today, we’re diving into the magical world of perspective.
Perspective has the power to turn a bad day around, help you see things in a new light, and even move through something that’s been keeping you stuck.
More specifically, we’re going to learn a simple but powerful tool called The Calendar Trick.
Start by thinking of something that’s bothering you right now. It could be something small or something more significant—just something that’s leaving you feeling a little off. These moments are never fun, but they’re a natural part of life. Challenges happen.
So, how does the Calendar Trick work?
Let’s say you had a rough day at work. Open your calendar and set a reminder for one month from today. In that reminder, write: “How do I feel about having a bad day at work last month?”
Chances are, by the time that reminder pops up, you’ll barely remember the bad day—or at the very least, it’ll sting a lot less.
This trick helps with everyday disappointments by putting the phrase “Time heals all wounds” into action. It’s a small step you take while you’re still in the hard moment—one that acknowledges the pain now, while gently reminding you that time brings perspective and relief.
It also helps you build your “time muscle,” training your brain to feel less raw in the face of setbacks. When that reminder surfaces, the emotional charge will likely be gone—or softened. That space can help you recover, regroup, and keep going with more ease.
The Calendar Trick gives you time back. It allows you to be functional instead of overwhelmed.
So next time you’re going through a rough patch, try using the Calendar Trick to remind yourself that this too shall pass. Sometimes, all it takes is a little perspective to shift your day—and your mindset—for the better.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
How might it help to zoom out and see my current challenge as just one frame in a larger story?
