QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Change me. Open me. Make me receptive to the unexpected. May I receive all that is meant for me over these next weeks and beyond.”
-Tosha Silver, It’s Not Your Money

IDEA OF THE DAY

Money can be a complicated subject. One minute you have it, the next it’s gone. It often seems to go out faster than it comes in. Budgeting and spreadsheets feel tedious—and honestly, they don’t always help. Sometimes it feels easier not to look at all.

We tend to absorb our beliefs about money from our parents—either adopting their mindset wholeheartedly or spending much of adulthood trying to do the exact opposite.

When I work with clients around money challenges, I like to ask:
“If money were a person you were dating, how are you treating that person?”

It’s a powerful question. Some people ignore money completely. Others obsess over it. The real work is finding a healthy boundary in between.

So when I saw that today’s national day is “Be a Millionaire Day,” I thought—why not make this a playful exercise in shifting perspective?

If you already have a beautiful, healthy relationship with money, feel free to focus on other millionaire aspects of your life—health, growth, physical fitness, or emotional wealth.

But if you’d like to shift how money shows up in your life, the best place to start is in your mind.
Our internal reality often shapes our external one. If you’re constantly stressing about money, that stress is likely playing out in your daily habits and decisions.

Let’s change that.

Let’s start by daydreaming.

Yes—daydreaming! That thing you used to do effortlessly as a kid. Except now, you’re doing it with intention.

Imagine being a multi-millionaire.
What would your life look like?
How would you spend your days?
What would you feel like?

Visualize it in detail—feel the emotions, the confidence, the ease. Give yourself permission to dream big, without holding back.

Even just a few minutes of this kind of daydreaming each day can begin to rewire your brain. You’ll start focusing more on what excites and inspires you—which often leads to fresh ideas, new habits, and aligned action.

So go ahead—put on your millionaire mindset today.

And who knows? Maybe I’ll see you at high tea at the Fairmont. (Wink wink.)
