QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
-Howard Thurman

IDEA OF THE DAY

From my vantage point as a career coach, I see it every day: even in seemingly stable roles, people are quietly yearning for change.  Some are burnt out in their roles, others feel afraid to step outside their comfort zone, and most just feel stuck.

With recent studies showing that 7 in 10 employees want a new job, it’s clear that this sense of dissatisfaction is widespread, even if you feel alone. Chances are, even if things are going “fine” for you, there have been days that brought real challenges.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your current role or take a leap into something new, one of the most important guiding lights in the process is this: follow what lights you up.

That spark might come from a creative hobby, a wellness goal, or something else entirely—it doesn’t have to begin with a dramatic career shift.

When I transitioned from working in education to becoming a career coach, I didn’t have a clear roadmap. I started by following small curiosities. I volunteered at a local Reiki clinic to explore hands-on healing. I joined meetup groups for coaches and therapists. I interviewed life coaches to learn about their methods. I took courses on chakras and grounding meditation—anything that sparked interest. These steps, however small, added up and became the foundation of my coaching practice.

And even now, I’m still exploring. Still asking: what brings change? What makes me come alive?
