“Sometimes you have to look back to see how far you’ve really come.”

IDEA OF THE DAY

My “to-do” list this week just keeps growing. I’ve been working on self-care holiday cards, prepping for three holiday fairs, running my coaching business, and figuring out the best time to put up holiday decorations. As December rolls in, it can feel like everything is happening at once, and it’s impossible to do it all. More importantly, if we don’t take time for ourselves, the many moving parts of the season can quickly become overwhelming.

Even if your schedule is starting to fill up, let’s take a few moments to reflect on the past year, to acknowledge all that you’ve experienced, what you’ve accomplished, and how far you’ve come. Stepping back to see the bigger picture helps us recognize that we’re doing far better than we often realize. That the meaningful moments of this year took time. And that, even amid the busyness around us, we still have the ability to pause, breathe deeply, and focus on what truly matters.

To help guide this reflection, here are a few questions to consider.

The wisest decision I made…
The biggest lesson I learned…
The biggest risk I took…
The biggest surprise of the year…
The most important thing I did for others…
The biggest thing I completed…

Feel free to journal your answers, share the conversation with a friend at a coffee date, or just choose the one that stands out to you. You’re even welcome to share your reflections with me- I’d love to hear from you!
