QUOTE OF THE DAY

“We are always works in progress, and that’s the beauty of it.”
 — Michelle Obama

IDEA OF THE DAY

Out of curiosity, I dug through my email archive earlier today to find the very first newsletter I wrote seven years ago (seven!). And wow, we’ve come a long way.

Now, I know these newsletters, both in writing and reading, are still far from perfect, but it’s fascinating to see how it all began and how far we’ve come. I’m reminded of when I printed my very first life coaching business cards. I didn’t even have a website! Just my name, email, and a hot air balloon (still not sure why…) with the question on the back: “How can I help you today?”

As I said, we’ve come a long way.

The same goes for life. When we pause to look back, it’s incredible to see how much has changed. Yet when we’re in the middle of it, progress can be hard to notice.

So, for the moments when you find yourself stuck in the weeds…zoom out. Look at the bigger picture, and remember: you really have come a long way. With it being the end of a year, this is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and recognize the growth, the challenges, and your work in progress. And from my POV, you’re doing an incredible job.

(Kudos to my 8-year-old nephew for looping me in that “POV” is trending right now…)
